University of South Carolina’s Daily Gamecock turns 100

January 30 will mark the 100th year that The Daily Gamecock, the student newspaper of the University of South Carolina, has been published. The student journalists will produce a special edition on this date to mark the milestone.

The Daily Gamecock is looking for former reporters, writers, editors, photographers and others who worked with the newspaper during the last century to attend an alumni event Feb. 22 – 24. Alumni interested in learning more about the anniversary event can visit the web site: www.dailygamecock.com/alumni.

Events will include a banquet at the Clarion Hotel featuring a presentation on the history of the newspaper, a guest speaker and entertainment. The registration deadline for the banquet is Feb. 18.
