Former Queensland premier to discuss sustainable growth March 4

Peter Beattie, former premier of the state of Queensland in Australia, will give a public talk on sustainable growth in Queensland from 2:30 – 3:45 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, at the University of South Carolina.

The talk, which is free and open to the public, will be held in Lumpkin Auditorium, located on the eighth floor of the Moore School of Business,

Beattie and his wife, Heather, are visiting scholars to the university this semester. Beattie is working primarily in the Moore School of Business, and his wife, a former associate professor of the University of Queensland, is at the College of Nursing. Beattie will lecture on sustainability, education and tourism. The 36th premiere of Queensland, Beattie spoke at the university’s commencement last May.
