University to sign agreement to improve lives of seniors

Officials from the University of South Carolina, Palmetto Health, S.C. Lutheran Homes and the Fraunhofer Institute in Germany will meet at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 17, to sign an agreement for a joint research project that could lead to advances in technology that will preserve the independence of senior citizens and change the way that homes are designed for them.

The event will be held on the second floor of McKissick Museum on the university’s historic Horseshoe. Media parking will be in the C-Lot, which can be entered from Pendleton Street.
