University’s Patti Marinelli named S.C. Foreign Language Teacher of the Year
Patti Marinelli, a University of South Carolina faculty member, has been named Outstanding Foreign Language Teacher of the Year by the South Carolina Foreign Language Teachers’ Association. Marinelli is a senior instructor in the university’s department of languages, literatures and cultures, having taught in the Spanish program since 1979.
Moore School professor named international-business fellow
Dr. Kendall Roth, the J. Willis Cantey Chair of International Business and Economics and chairman of the Sonoco international business department at the Moore School of Business, has been named Academy of International Business Fellow by the Academy of International Business in recognition of his scholarly contributions in the field.
The AIB is the leading association of international business scholars and specialists. Roth is a member of the board of senior consulting editors for “Journal of International Business Studies” and serves on the editorial boards of “Academy of Management Journal” and “Strategic Management Journal.”
Roth has taught at the University of South Carolina since 1986.
