Palmetto Concert Band to present its annual fall concert Nov. 23
The Palmetto Concert Band will present its annual fall concert at 4 p.m. Nov. 23 at the Koger Center. Admission is free and open to the public.
Selections will include “Symphonic Movement” by Vaclav Nelhybel; “Forever Holding Close the Memories” by Richard L. Saucedo; “Shenandoah’s Simple Gifts” by Larry Clark; “On the Overland Stage to El Paso” by David R. Holsinger; and “Eternal Father, Strong to Save” by Claude T. Smith.
The Palmetto Concert Band was organized in 1999 and comprises professional and semiprofessional musicians from the Carolinas and Georgia.
Now in its 10th season, the Palmetto Concert Band performs annually for the University Concert Band Clinic in February, at its Memorial Sunday concert honoring members and veterans of the U.S. armed forces. It also performs an outdoor each June and on the Sunday before Thanksgiving.
