Carolina alumni invited back to campus for May Carolina Weekend

University of South Carolina alumni are invited back to campus May 15 – 16 for a weekend of reunions, workshops, lectures, tours and whole lot of Gamecock fun.

Alumni can register for the second annual May Carolina Alumni Weekend online at the Carolina Alumni Association Web site -- www.MyCarolina.org/MayCarolina -- or by calling 803-777-4111. A complete listing of events is available on the Web site. Most events are free; registration is required.

Throughout the weekend, the university’s colleges and schools will offer a variety of events intended to inspire, enlighten and entertain. In addition to reunions and a party at the President’s House, the weekend will feature workshops and lectures on topics that include “Securing Your Home PC,” “Changing the Rules of Aging,” “Alternative Fuels – A Business Perspective” and “Long Term Financial Planning.”

Alumni will be able to tour the new Carolina baseball stadium and Newsplex, the School of Journalism and Mass Communication’s state-of-the-art facility to teach students the latest in news reporting and media technology. Rounding out the fun will be Carolina baseball with the Gamecocks taking on the Georgia Bulldogs.
