University to offer LEED classes on environmental design, green building

The University of South Carolina’s Office of Academic Enrichment and Conferences is offering two-day courses for individuals preparing for the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) accredited professional exam for new construction.

This LEED AP exam prep course includes a complete review of LEED credits, hundreds of simulated exam questions, a practice exam, worksheets and strategies for passing the exam.

Classes will take place April 20 - 21; June 9 - 10; Sept. 1 - 2; Oct. 13 - 14; and Nov. 23 - 24, 2009.

LEED, the most distinguished and widely accepted certification for environmental design and green building, is for architects, lawyers, builders, engineers, real-estate brokers and anyone interested in understanding green building principles.

The program is led by LEED AP professionals from Everblue Energy Inc., an official education provider for the U.S. Green Building Council.

Participants also will receive continuing-education credit.
