The face of Carolina is changing. As large numbers of faculty retire and new faculty representing the spectrum of disciplines join the ranks, the pool of expert sources for reporters will expand. Meet three USC faculty members in law:

Susan Kuo specializes in criminal law, criminal procedure, federal practice, conflict of laws, and race and the law. She has published articles on civil rights, privacy law and policy, and criminal law and procedure. She also has experience as a special assistant U.S. attorney in the U.S. Attorney's Office in Atlanta and has completed two judicial clerkships with the federal courts.

Michael Virzi is a member of the National White Collar Crime Center and serves on the S.C. Bar's Ethics Advisory Committee. He is a frequent speaker at Continuing Legal Education seminars on the topic of legal ethics and the disciplinary process, with a particular emphasis on residential real estate practice. He has practiced in the areas of commercial and business litigation and creditors' rights and is a former prosecutor for the Office of Disciplinary Counsel.

Danielle Holley-Walker specializes in civil procedure, race and law and administrative law. She has published articles on desegregation, affirmative action and race-neutral admissions policies and does research in the areas of civil rights, education law and policy, civil procedure and administrative law. She previously practiced civil litigation with a firm in Houston and has clerked for the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
