Experts can offer mid-term exam tips for high school students

High school students around the state are preparing for mid-term exams. For seniors, the exams may be the last round of grades that college admissions counselors view before making decisions on the composition of 2008 freshman classes.

Two academic success experts at the University of South Carolina are available Dec. 12 - 14 to give tips to help high school students prepare for mid-terms and the rigors of college academic life. Julie Holliday, assistant director for academic success initiatives in the university’s Student Success Center, and Claire Robinson, coordinator of academic success initiatives and resident student learning with university housing’s Academic Centers for Excellence (ACE), are available from 1 – 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, and 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday, Dec. 13 - 14.

To coordinate an interview and to obtain a copy of Holliday’s and Robinson’s exam- taking tips, call Peggy Binette at 803-777-5400.
