December graduates: Job opportunities to continue in 2008


December graduates can expect the trend of more job opportunities to continue in 2008, according to officials at the University of South Carolina Career Center. The university center Center mirrored national college recruiting trends this fall, seeing an increase in all areas of employer recruiting. Seniors graduating in engineering, computing and business are among the most sought by companies. The Office of Media Relations will send and post a news release on the job outlook for December graduates Thursday, Dec. 13.

University, Greenville Tech to announce agreement


The university and Greenville Technical College will announce an agreement that will help aspiring student entrepreneurs. The event will take place at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, on the campus of Greenville Technical College in the administration boardroom.

University President Andrew Sorensen and Greenville Tech President Thomas E. Barton will speak.
