Christine Todd Whitman to discuss nuclear energy Nov. 19
Christine Todd Whitman, former director of the Environmental Protection Agency and former New Jersey governor, will address the university community from 1 – 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19, in Room 204 of the Moore School of Business. As co-chairman of the Clean and Safe Energy Coalition (CASEnergy Coalition), Whitman will discuss the growing demand for energy, the growth of the nuclear industry in South Carolina and the nation and other timely environmental and economic topics.
Media are invited to attend Whitman’s talk. A media availability with Whitman will be held from 2 – 3 p.m. in the same room as her talk, Room 204 of the Moore School.
CASEnergy coalition is a large grassroots organization of more than 1,300 members from the business, environmental, academic, consumer and labor community who support nuclear energy and believe that nuclear energy can improve energy security, ensure clean air quality and enhance the quality of life and economic well-being of Americans.
