Economic Outlook Conference set for Dec. 3

The Moore School of Business will hold its annual Economic Outlook Conference Monday, Dec. 3, at the Marriott in downtown Columbia. Sound tax policy, the potential for a recession and the economic forecast for 2008 are among topics that will be discussed by Moore School economists.

The conference, which has become the state’s premier economic event for business leaders, provides print and broadcast media excellent reporting opportunities. The event runs from 9:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. Dr. William F. Fox, director of the Center for Business and Economic Research at the University of Tennessee, will deliver the conference's keynote address at the luncheon. His talk is titled "Sound Tax Policy for a Competitive Economy."

Reporters planning to attend the EOC should call Peggy Binette at 803-777-5400 to make arrangements.
