ATTENTION ...... Metro, Education and Assignment Editors:
Physics lessons abound at the S.C. State Fair

Sandwiched between the corn dogs and the fried mushrooms is a science lesson, and more than 2,500 high school students from 35 schools in the Palmetto State will descend Tuesday, Oct. 16, on the S.C. State Fair for the Midway Physics Day.

The annual event, sponsored by the university’s department of physics and astronomy and the S.C. State Fair, will be held from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Students, teachers and Carolina physics professors will meet at the WNOK radio tent and then ride the rides and see physics in action.

For information or to arrange coverage, call Karen Petit at 803-777-5400.
