University students welcome parents for annual Parents Weekend
Dr. Barry S. Coller, a physician and member of the National Academy of Sciences, will be the featured speaker for the Caskey Lecture Monday, Oct. 22, at the University of South Carolina. The program will held from 7:30 - 9 p.m. in the Lumpkin Auditorium of the Moore School of Business. Coller, physician-in-chief of The Rockefeller University Hospital in New York, will give a talk, titled “Responsible Biomedical Science in the 21st Century: The Role of the Physician’s Oath.” He will discuss the values embodied in the Physician’s Oath and how ethics play a critical role in research as new knowledge is gained and advanced technologies are developed.
