Fall Festival of Authors continues with Galway Kinnell


The university’s annual Fall Festival of Authors continues tonight (Tuesday, Oct. 23) with a reading by Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Galway Kinnell at 6 p.m. in the School of Law auditorium. Bobbie Ann Mason kicked off the festival Oct. 18, and the festival will end with a reading by James Barilla Oct. 30.

Kinnell has been a major force in American poetry for more than 30 years, winning a Pulitizer Prize and National Book Award for “Selected Poems.” His books of poetry also include “The Book of Nightmares,” “When One Has Lived a Long Time Alone,” “Imperfect Thirst,” and his most recent “A New Selected Poems” and “Strong is Your Hold.”
