Study examines availability of healthy foods in rural areas
A University of South Carolina study on the problems that people living in rural areas have in finding healthy foods will be released Thursday, Nov. 1.
Dr. Angela Liese, a researcher in the Arnold School of Public Health, will be available by appointment to discuss the study, which examined the “nutritional environment” of a rural area in the Palmetto State. The findings are being published in the November issue of the Journal of the American Dietetic Association.
