ATTENTION ...... Metro, Feature, Business and Broadcast editors:
Tax day is approaching, but why do some people procrastinate?

It’s down to the wire for many taxpayers and accountants as April 15 rapidly approaches.

Why do many people procrastinate, even though they know taxes are due annually? What does it say about the person who procrastinates with taxes or who can’t move forward in a timely manner with other decisions or actions?

Dr. Clyde Flanagan, a psychiatrist with the University of South Carolina School of Medicine, can discuss the characteristics of the person who procrastinates regularly and when procrastination is a sign of a more serious problem. Flanagan will be available during the morning of Friday, April 11, for interviews.

To arrange interviews, call Karen Petit or Bond Nickles at 803-777-5400.
