Teegen to meet Florence/Myrtle Beach biz leaders, alumni

Moore School of Business Dean Hildy Teegen will meet with business leaders and university alumni in Florence and Myrtle Beach Thursday, March 13, to share her strategic vision for the Moore School: sustainable enterprise and development and international business. Events in each city offer business and local media excellent reporting opportunities on the new direction of the Moore School and Teegen, who began her tenure as dean of the Moore School last September.

Teegen will speak at a lunch from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at the Florence Country Club. Darla D. Moore, for whom the business school is named, and Harris E. DeLoach Jr., chairman, president and CEO of the Sonoco Foundation, will host the Florence event.

Teegen will address Grand Strand leaders from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at Island Vista, located at 6000 North Ocean Blvd. in Myrtle Beach. Hosts for the evening event are Dennis L. Wade, president and CEO of Jackson Companies; Michael C. Gerald, executive vice president of BB&T; Joe A. Padgett, executive vice president of Wachovia Bank of S.C.; and Chester A. Duke, vice president and vice chairman of Anchor Bank.
