Moore School dean to meet with Rock Hill biz leaders March 18
Business leaders and university alumni will meet Dr. Hildy Teegen from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 18, at the City Club of Rock Hill and learn about the new strategic direction of the Moore School of Business: sustainable enterprise and development and international business. Events in each city offer business and local media excellent reporting opportunities about the new direction of the Moore School and Teegen, who began her tenure as dean of the Moore School last September.

Columbia City Council candidates gather for ‘Green Talk’ March 19
Candidates for Columbia City Council will participate in “Green Talk,” a University of South Carolina forum to discuss important environmental and conservation topics facing Columbia, Wednesday, March 19, in the Green Quad Learning Center for Sustainable Futures. Candidates Belinda Gergel, Cameron Runyan and Reed Swearingen have confirmed their attendance, with other candidates expected to participate.

HRSM alumnus turned entrepreneur and designer to give lecture
The department of retailing will present the Executive Lecture Series with Molly Britt, a successful designer, entrepreneur and founder of Mollyanna maternity wear. World TB Day is Monday, March 24. Dr. Ana Lopez-DeFede, a researcher with the Institute for Families in Society, can discuss the prevalence of TB in South Carolina and steps that are needed to stop the spread of the disease.
