Census report shows rapid growth in Hispanic population


A report from the U.S. Census Bureau finds that Hispanics are the fastest growing minority population. Many of the nation’s Hispanics are in the South.

Dr. Elaine Lacy of the university’s Consortium for Latino Immigration Studies is available Friday, May 2, to discuss the census report and its implication for the Palmetto State, which is experiencing one of the nation’s largest Hispanic population increases.
